I am an environmental anthropologist with interests in animal-human relations, sentient ecologies, and verbal and non-verbal interspecies communication in the Circumpolar North.
Currently, I am a faculty member in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Regina (UofR) in Saskatchewan, Canada. I am adjunct in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC).
I conducted my doctoral work at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland as part of Arctic Domus and the Northern Colonialism theme in The North program. Before that, I completed a research-based masters program at UNBC, in collaboration with Aurora College and the Inuvialuit Cultural Centre.
