Minimalism

Architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe is often credited with the mantra “less is more.” Personally, I am inspired by the light footprint of my hunter and pastoralist friends in Siberia who, in their mobility, echo the insights of Buddhist lamas. For me, having less is also an act of resistance to the aim of states to tie people to controllable property. It is a celebration of objects and relations that are already here.
